Well I have neglected this blog haven't I!
I am sorry about that, but I am gradually losing the "passion" for Pizza Hut as I'm getting tired of working 9 hours and getting 30 minutes break. Thats 8.5 hours standing up, no sitting, virtually no leaning! I'm not asking for sympathy or anything, just sometimes think I could either not be doing anything, or doing some easier (as in physically) for more money. I think I want a part time desk job!!

Sorry to hear you're getting sick of it.
Have you thought of trying to make a "Christmas Dinner" pizza for yourself?
You know... like with turkey, bacon... Ohh, sliced sprouts of course! Roast parsnips, roast potatoes, and heavy gravy instead of tomato sauce?
Or would that finish you off completely?

Have a look around some of the agencies and see if you can do some temping. That would give you a taste of other jobs, perhaps?

You only get half an hour for a break? Ouch. For all the complaints about them I have at least the people I work for give you ninety minutes, even if they don't pay you for it (at least they can't then dictate that you stay on the premesis).
I also often think that I could be doing something less stressful for more money but I haven't managed to move on yet!

Just to add to my post, BBC Essex radio had a whole feature on making a "Christmas Dinner Pizza" today, where the owner of a local Pizza place came in and two guys sampled his concoction and pronounced it very enjoyable indeed!
(Nothing on the website above about it yet though, but it was around 2pm-ish, so would probably be on the "Afternoon show"'s "listen again" link, either now, or tomorrow.

hey... been reading ur blog for quite a while, enjoy hearing other people moan about pizza hut for a change! believe me i know what its like working for the hut...have been doing so for the last 3 and a 1/2years! You think a 30min break is stingey, im now a support manager (yipee) and we dont get breaks because there is noone to cover us whilst we grab a seat and a cuppa! Keep writing and have a good Christmas!
Federal law mandates you get 30 minutes unpaid break for 4 hours worked and 1 hour paid break for 8 hours worked. Along with a 10 or 15 minute break I'm not sure they're required to give you. But I would just take my break and tell them to shove it.
Also you could contact the state wages and labor standard board.
