Potwash

Hi,

Well its been ages since I've blogged, not really an excuse its just quite 'same old same old' really.

I'm now a Support Manager...it means I can generally get out of doing the crap jobs, help with the more difficult ones, plus do some sitting down. :)

Now...has anyone ever used a potwashing machine?

They are great when they work, but when they don't it's a big big big pain.

But - you designing a potwash machine...where do you put the water pipes inside the machine? Water and electric never, ever mix. So away from the control panel, motors and pumps?

No, Hobart decided to put the main water feed into the machine - in the same compartment as all the motors, controls and pumps. So when the pipe inside the machine bursts, it destroys and burns out EVERYTHING.

Can you guess what's happened?

Good sales tactic - no? As soon as the guarantee runs out the pipe bursts - voila.

Good to see you back, and congrats. on the promotion.

It never fails to amaze me the way some people "have ideas" about design / how to do jobs etc.

So crazy having water and electrics side by side like that!

Welcome back.

In-built reason for replacement rather than repair? What else.........

How's things now that PH take Tesco Clubcard Deals? Been over-run?

Nice to see you posting again and well done on the promotion (same old Sh** just more responsibe lol)

Must admit in the 3 years I've worked for the hut (both RBD and Delivery stores) I've never seen a Potwash machine let go though they all seem to have big notices on them about reporting any anomolies as when they do actually go they cost lots and lots to repair.

As a support manager i cant even sit down and the job gets harder because we are only glorified team members, that hold keys on £6.71 PH-no bonus with triple the amount of shit...Good luck with your new role...been doin it for 4 yrs in 5 stores and every support i know works like a kunt.....Dont sit down too much will ya!!

Oh and the Fckin 50% vouchers along with the Tesco vouchers means most of your shift is spent standing by the micros terminal entering individual 9 digit codes for each voucher.....and P.H. expects you to run a shift when you receive 100+ vouchers a shift and u give away so much money that the labor don't balance...and the Prick @ head office sends an e-mail saying we don't need extra people on shifts......new menu release next week....wot a fukin nightmare...Back to basics is what P.H. should do that is all they are good at!!!

Everyone @ the hut has had a pay rise, kitchen staff get 2nd pay rise in Dec.....support managers don't even get a fcukin penny.....we will only be 69p ahead of kitchen staff per hour come December....how shit is that?

I must admit, they posted the wage rates up in our delivery store and I was quite surprised how little they pay the support managers especially considering that it is a full time position.

yeah the pay is shite. I got punched a couple of months ago cause some guy couldn't wait to be served. He complained he had to wait at the door for 20 mins even tho he could've left at anytime its not like i was holding a gun to his head. then he had to wait at the table cause his server was taking an order for a table of 12 peeps and everyone else was running about like blue arsed flies. he started swearing at me and i told him to leave cause i didn't like his attitude then he punched me. £6.91 to stand and get abused!! I dont think so.

Does anyone know about the pizza hut management restructure thats taking place in silence at the moment???? lots of support managers to be given 60 days notice to be demoted back to team members....one support for each store.....that sucks!!!!

Yea, I know about it its rediculas.
Oh well im only a team member but out 4support managers just cant be arsed with even trying to be a manager anymore, they have either got new jobs or not even been told about the reconstruction of it.

So lame.
Oh well, any other team-members get a pay rise this week?

I went from 5.88 to 6.16 :O
Nice :D
